How Much Is a Used MacBook Pro Worth?
Understand how a MacBook Pro's chip, memory, storage, display and repair needs influence a buyer's assessment.

A configuration, not just a year
MacBook Pro configurations can vary in screen size, chip family, memory and internal storage. Two computers purchased in the same year may have substantially different capabilities. Record the specifications shown by the operating system rather than relying on your receipt date.
Functional issues change the evaluation
Display defects, keyboard faults, charging issues, battery service warnings and liquid damage can all require repair. Describe them clearly. A computer that boots successfully can still have intermittent problems that should be disclosed.
Account and management status
A usable Mac needs to be free of the previous owner's Activation Lock and any unresolved organizational enrollment. Proof of lawful ownership and a clear transfer can matter more than an accessory bundle.
